About Us

True Fit Denim Jeans are now both accepted, respected, and even loved. It is hard to imagine that it has not always been so. Before the 1950s, jeans were devalued, banned in some context and mocked in the fine salons.

Earlier, they were necessary protective clothing for miners. Even today there are jeans left in old, abandoned mines. They are there beneth all the rubble, beneth all the gravel. A few people have dedicated their lives to find these treasures. Viktor Fredbäck is one of them. He lives in Sweden, but has teamed up with some Americans who have given him access to this world. A couple times a year Viktor

join them and dig in the mines. The book True Fit is the story about his collecting, but for each garment he digs up he even digs up parts of the American history. Each pair of jeans that Viktor will find is a new part of his great historical puzzle. Now is the time to show others the fruits of his collecting and passion. This is the history of denim in all its simplicity and in its beauty.
